South Pekin Fire Department2 years agoSince the beginning of February, members of the South Pekin Fire Department along with members from the Green Valley Fire Dept., Schaeferville Fire Department, Tremont IL Fire Department, Delavan Fire Department, and Forman Fire Department have participated in a joint Basic Operations Fire Fighter class. During their class, students completed modules A, B, C and worked towards completion of Hazmat Operations, FSVO (Fire Service Vehicle Operator), Courage To Be Safe and NIMS (National Incident Management System). Congratulations to all the students and thank you for your dedication to your departments and communities!

South Pekin Fire Department2 years agoRemember to set your clocks forward an hour and to change the batteries in your smoke detectors!South Pekin Fire Department2 years agoThis coming Saturday, December 18, Santa is coming to visit! We will be giving him a ride through town to see all the kids starting around 1:00PM.
Unfortunately, we will not be doing the traditional meeting and gifts at the station. We regret this decision, hopefully next year things will return to normal.
South Pekin Fire Department3 years agoAt approximately 9:37 this morning South Pekin Fire Department received a call to the grade school for a possible fire. We would like to thank Schaeferville Fire Department, Cincinnati Fire Protection District, Green Valley Fire Dept. and Pekin Firefighters Local 524 for your assistance and hard work today.
We would also like to thank Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with directing traffic, incoming units, and helping keep everything under control in the front of the school while we were working in the back.
South Pekin Grade School- District 137 staff acted efficiently and appropriately to keep everyone safe, including students and staff, and we are thankful for their technical assistance with the event.

We are accepting applications for firefighters and emergency medical responders. Applications can be obtained and turned in to South Pekin Village Hall or at the main fire station, at 209 West Main Street, on Tuesday nights between 6 P.M. and 8 P.M.

Using the website is a great option, it prevents delays and we get your application immediately.
